IWD Staycation
On the occasion of crossing 50,000 members in IWD, our amazing girl gang went vacationing at @jaresorts
My gang of girls have helped me sail through the roughest of seas. This staycation was all about 50k celebration with 50 women together. Our riendships became stronger spending quality time together. Good times with my girls will always be truly and dearly cherished.
IWD Awards Season 2
On September 18, 2022, the Indian Women in Dubai (IWD) Awards held their second season. At the IWD Awards, the Women Achievers, Cancer Warriors, and Children of Determination received recognition.
With the intention of showcasing diversity and inclusivity, this year’s event included two Special Performances from adorable kids from Children of Determination and from Brave Women Cancer Warriors. The objective of this year’s topic was to spread awareness of the need of fostering inclusivity.
IWD members joined and participated in this event – which was EXCLUSIVE FOR WOMEN only !
With the theme of Yoga for the mind, body, and soul, over 20 women from IWD attended the event and had a lot of fun.
Yoga Day at World Trade Centre
The 8th International Day of Yoga (IDY), which falls on 21 June 2022, will be celebrated by the Consulate General of India, Dubai on Sunday, 19 June 2022 at World Trade Centre from 1700 to 1900 hrs.
IWD members joined and participated in this event – which was EXCLUSIVE FOR WOMEN only !
With the theme of Yoga for the mind, body, and soul, over 20 women from IWD attended the event and had a lot of fun.

Cancer Event with Al Jalila Foundation
While medical intervention is vital for cancer patients, mental well-being also plays a major role in their recovery journey. And to facilitate this, a cultural event was held for cancer survivors and patients by the Indian Women in Dubai (IWD) group in collaboration with Al Jalila Foundation, at Majlis Al Amal, a ‘cancer drop-in centre’ dedicated for female patients and their wellbeing.
As many as 80 volunteers were involved in the hosting of the event that showcased the culture, heritage, and cuisine of India. Besides the dances performances, members also enjoyed yoga, meditation sessions and food prepared by IWD members.
Cultural Event on Women's Day
Indian Women in Dubai organized an India-themed Cultural event in association with Danube to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8.
The event was full of fun-filled activities like dance shows, fashion shows, etc. Women dressed in different themes from the different states of India, exhibiting their respect and love for their cultural heritage.
Pitching Session by women-led start ups for Women's Day
On the occasion of Women’s day, we took 10+ women-led starts up to the Indian Pavilion for business pitching – what a great opportunity for these fantastic entrepreneurs 👏
A room full of positive energy, business minds and talent had us wishing one of them to be our future unicorn.
The Big City Centre Vote in collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim
IWD collaborated with Majid Al Futtaim for their wonderful campaign, which looks to give customers the power and platform to voice what they want their future City Centre experiences to look like.
Many thanks to all the IWD members who attended – it was great to see how open the City Centre Deira mall was, and how they are really taking on board everyone’s opinions as they plan for the future.
Small Business meet up in association with Daalchini restaurant
Very impressed with the talent and creativity of the business women in the group – we had photographers, yoga teachers, dress designers, event planners, digital marketing experts, artists and lots more ……look at the diversity ! There was so much talent and positive energy in the room …..#womenempoweringwomen!!

Women Business Networking Session
India at Expo in association with Indian Women in Dubai (IWD) organized a Business Women Networking session, on January 18, 2022, focusing on the theme of Women Empowering Women.
It was an amazing event attended by several members of IWD, and dignitaries.
A wonderful morning spent in celebration of us women, inspiring each other as Champions & motivating each other at the Indian Pavilion.
IWD Awards Season 1 2021
Indian Women in Dubai (IWD) hosted its first-ever award ceremony to celebrate talented Indian women in November 2021. Women from different spheres of life were awarded for their contribution to society under 35 different categories including, entrepreneur, designer, baker, homemaker, banker and more.
The award ceremony was attended by Indian dignitaries and Indian celebrities and other well-known faces.

Pan IIM Meet
Around 20 of our alumni in Dubai participated in a wonderful pan IIM reception hosted by the Consul General of India in Dubai over the weekend.
His Excellency Dr Aman Puri, Consul General of India in Dubai, led a discussion around how the pan IIM community can continue to grow its impact in the UAE, India and globally.

When you discuss the empowerment of women in India, Mary Kom is a name that is undoubtedly brought up. Her accomplishments serve as an inspiration and provide women with opportunities for empowerment. And I believe we are totally in agreement about this. Thank you Anurag and Deepa Ji for hosting this. IWD at VLCC, Burjuman
Grand Birthday celebration of Reema at the VLCC, Burjuman. Different types of delicious cakes for the lady and sooooo many memories were made. Amidst lots of laughter and selfies amongst these queens who fix other queens, there was a pampering session of VLCC too! A brand that has it all- skincare, body care, brand partnerships that value and focus on women.

Many many Congratulations to team VMentor and the young authors for a very successful launch of their Second book of ‘The Story Cart’ at Sharjah International Book Fair last week.
Such a lovely initiative to bring out the creativity and talent of the little kids, guiding them through the journey and helping them write their own stories.
